Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By booking to board your cat(s) with us, you will have accepted the following terms & conditions

Safety
All cats must arrive in a secure cat basket or carrier. Please do not bring cats onto the site in your arms, on a lead or any carrier not specifically designed for cat transportation.
Cats must remain in their carrier until they are securely put into their assigned pen.

Only cats from the same household may share accommodation.

Any cats over the age of six months who are not neutered cannot be accepted for boarding.

Vaccination Requirements
For every stay, a valid up to date vaccination certificate must be presented on arrival day showing that the cat(s) have been vaccinated against Feline Influenza and Feline Enteritis within the last year.
Certificates will be kept securely on the premises until you return.

Primary vaccination must not have been administered less than two weeks prior to boarding.

Medication
We are happy to administer medication, excluding injections, which have been prescribed by a vet provided it has been discussed and agreed with the cattery prior to booking and that full and clear instructions are left by the owner.

Fleas and worms
We require that all cats are treated against flea infestation and worms before arrival.

Illness
No cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, an infectious or contagious disease will be accepted. All cats will be inspected on arrival and we reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health pending advice from our veterinary surgeon. This is essential in order to protect and safeguard the health of your cat and other resident cats.

Vet/General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Due to GDPR safeguarding, it is advisable for you to let your vet know that your cat(s) is staying with us and that you give them permission to discuss and share relevant details on your cat(s) and their medical history. This is especially important for any cats that have a pre-existing medical condition or/and is very young or elderly. Please can owners of elderly cats and/or those with chronic health conditions advise us of your wishes if your cat was to pass away while at Leafy Oak Farm Cattery.

In the unlikely event of your cat(s) needing to be seen by a vet we will try our upmost to take your cat to their own registered vet. In situations where the distance to the cat(s) own vet is too great, outside practice hours or in an emergency then the cat will be taken to the local veterinary practice (Medivet Kynoch, Yateley)

Tariff and payment methods
Charges are calculated daily, starting with the day of arrival and including the day of departure.

During peak seasons the minimum charge for a short stay is 3 days boarding.

During peak times (Easter, Summer School Holidays, Christmas/New Year) a £30 non-returnable deposit is required to secure your booking.

Payment of the balance is due on or before the date of collection.

If you collect your cat earlier than the departure date booked, we will charge for the total period booked if we are unable to re-let the space.
